I SEE FACES was founded in 2012 by visual artist, photographer, and educator Alex Regen, after he noticed an uncanny face in a Céline handbag—an image that sparked a lasting exploration into the hidden humanity within everyday objects. What began as a moment of curiosity evolved into #iseefacestoo, a global creative practice centered on perception, connection, and seeing humanity in unexpected places.

Regen’s work has been featured in AOL Daily Finance, Huffington Post, The Perfect Exposure Gallery in Los Angeles, The Laundry in San Francisco and the Honolulu Museum of Contemporary Art. Through I SEE FACES, he has developed arts-education programs implemented in partnership with organizations including FACESSF.org, 826Valencia.org and SafePlaceforYouth.org.

These programs invite young people to reimagine their surroundings and themselves through photography, creative writing, immersive field trips, and entrepreneurship.

Through I SEE FACES, Regen explores how perception shapes the world and how we see one another.
